Architect To Show Proposal For Stadium's Retractable Roof

POSTED: 12:38 pm EDT May 11, 2006

Cleveland City Council's planning committee will hold a special hearing Thursday at 1 p.m. to hear a local architect's proposal for a retractable dome on the Cleveland Brown's Stadium.

Architect Robert Corna will give the presentation for a translucent, retractable roof and his concept for Cleveland's lakefront.

It has been previously reported that the roof would cost about $90 million.

Corna believes if the stadium had a roof, the city could have hosted the last Super Bowl.
