Akron jumped all over the Governors in the first half, shooting 51.5 percent from the floor to take a 44-32 lead at the break.

APSU stormed back in the second stanza, knocking down 17-of-34 shoots from the field, en route to the three-point victory.

Foul shooting proved to be the difference in the contest as the Governors outscored the Zips 21-15 at the charity stripe.
