Frustrated Fans Organizing Browns ProtestUPDATED: 10:10 am EST November 1,
2009 CLEVELAND -- Two frustrated Browns fans are trying to organize a protest and send a message to the team's management. The long-time ticket holders came up with the idea following last Sunday's loss to Green Bay.They want fans to walk in late to the Nov. 16 home game against Baltimore, to have empty seats for the nationally televised Monday night game. The fans want to show Browns owner Randy Lerner that they want a better product on the field. In an e-mail response, Lerner told NewsChannel5's partner at the Akron Beacon Journal that he hears the fans and their frustration."On the grounds of frustration and irritation with performance, then that's the medicine I [we] are going to take, and I accept that," Lerner wrote. "It's been way too long since the Browns have had anything to feel good about or invest in, and it's clear that the doubt and negativity are taking on a life of their own."The Browns are 1-6 this season and 55-113 since returning in 1999. If it weren't for Buffalo, the Browns would not have a single win in the last calendar year. Copyright 2009 by NewsNet5. All rights reserved.
