CLEVELAND -- The Indians have announced their ticket price structure for the 2003 season.
For the third straight season, pricing for season tickets will remain the same in 2003.
In addition, the Indians are reducing the price of more than 35 percent (15,500) of their seating capacity for the 2003 season. All Bleacher Seats have been substantially reduced to $12 (from $19 and $17 in 2002). Other sections that have been reduced for next season are the Upper Box to $19 (from $20 in 2002), Upper Reserved to $10 (from $12 in 2002) and the newly created Corner Reserved/GA ticket (Sections 518-521) to $5 (from $7 in 2002).
Also, the Indians will introduce variable single-game ticket pricing at Jacobs Field for the first time, but it not affect season-ticket prices.
As part of the new variable single-game ticket pricing, the Indians have designated 10 dates that will be "showcase games" during the 2003 season. The 10 "showcase games" will include Opening Day (April 7 vs. Chicago) and 3-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers (June 13-15), Cincinnati Reds (June 27-29), and New York Yankees (July 8-10).
Ticket prices for the 10 "showcase games" will be priced $5 above the price for a regular game next season.
