It may only be a preseason game, but Browns fans are getting pumped for Thursday night's exhibition game against the New York Jets.

Although kickoff isn't until 7:30 p.m., that didn't stop dozens of fans from showing up outside Cleveland Browns Stadium about 14 hours early.

The first game of the season means new gear, old friends, and with no record yet, high hopes, reported NewsChannel5's Joy Benedict.

Long-time fan Scott Nunnari was one of those who loaded up his "Dawg Bus" early and headed out for some tailgating.

"There's two choices for today: You gotta get here really early before the crowd gets here for work, or get here really late when they leave," he said.

Nunnari's Dawg Bus rolled in at 6 a.m., but they weren't the first: Brown and orange started appearing at the muni lot at 2 a.m.

Some fans needed a wake-up call and plan to wait it out all day for the game to begin: a small sacrifice to help get the season off to a good start.
