CLEVELAND -- LeBron James is ready for his gold medal and he's letting everyone know about it.

LeBron is on the Aug. 4 cover of Time magazine. The issue is part of the magazine's summer Olympic preview.

In the article, LeBron is predicting that Team USA will win the gold.

LeBron was on the U.S. Olympic men's basketball team that won a bronze at the 2004 Athens Games.

The NBA All-Star compared the feeling of receiving a gold medal on the podium to opening a prized gift on Christmas morning.

He was asked if that meant he would lead the Americans to the title. LeBron responded that he "absolutely" guaranteed it.

Team USA is the favorite, but it hasn't won a major title since the 2000 Olympics. LeBron was also on the team that took third place in the 2006 world championships.
