Cavs' Wallace Leaves Game With Dizziness

POSTED: 11:49 pm EDT May 8, 2008

(Sports Network) - Cleveland Cavaliers big man Ben Wallace was forced out of Thursday's Eastern Conference semifinal matchup against Boston with bouts of dizziness.

The Cavs lost the game 89-73.

Wallace left early in the first quarter and nearly collapsed after walking toward his bench.

The defensive standout was taken to the locker room to be examined. He did return to the Cleveland bench for a bit in the second quarter but was still feeling dizzy and ruled out for the game.

After the contest, Wallace blamed his problems on allergies.

"It started as an allergy attack," Wallace said. "It was just a headache, then I got dizzy. You know it's (Boston) a tough place for allergies, but no one warned me."

"I have never had a migraine before, but it was like a tough headache, my head was spinning, I couldn't really turn my head up or down," Wallace added. "(The) doctor is going to figure out things in the morning."
