POSTED: 1:16 pm EDT October 29, 2007
UPDATED: 9:59 am EDT October 30, 2007

Westlake police arrested a former Browns player on suspicion of drunken driving.

Police said they stopped 48-year-old Hanford Dixon just before 11:30 p.m. on Sunday after another motorist reported an erratic driver on Interstate 90 west.

Police pulled him over at the Crocker Road exit, where he submitted to a Breathalyzer test. His blood--alcohol level was found to be in excess of the legal limit, police said.

Dixon was charged with OVI and improper lane usage, and was released on a personal bond.

He will appear in court on Wednesday.
