Vegas Q&A: Are Hotels Sharing Player's Club Cards?
Question: I've heard that certain casinos are merging their "players' cards" so that you can use one card in several hotels. Do you have any information on this? If so, do you know which ones will be put together?

Answer: Thank you for your question, Stacey.
Yes, all of the big casino chains are integrating their players' club cards so you can use them at any hotel in their corporate family. For those of you who aren't familiar with the concept, a player's club card is something you sign up for and then use in slot machines or at the gaming tables. You earn points as you gamble that can be redeemed for comps or discounts on restaurants, shows, attractions and rooms.
With the merging that Stacey is asking about, you can earn points at any of the casinos in the chain and then redeem them at another casino.
Station Casinos already has a unified card called The Boarding Pass. It's good at Palace, Sunset, Santa Fe, Green Valley, Texas, and Boulder Station hotels.
Harrah's has the Total Rewards card, valid for points and rewards at Harrah's and Rio in Vegas, plus all of the other Harrah's locations around the country.
Mandalay Resorts has just issued a new One Card valid in Vegas at Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, and Circus-Circus, plus locations in other cities.
The last two big ones -- Park Place and MGM MIRAGE -- haven't unveiled their cards yet, but are expected to any day now. Park Place will cover Caesars Palace, The Flamingo, Bally's, Paris Las Vegas, and the Las Vegas Hilton. The MGM MIRAGE card will be valid at Bellagio, MGM Grand, New York-New York, Mirage, Treasure Island, and the Golden Nugget.
All of the other major hotels (Venetian, Aladdin, Riviera, Tropicana, etc.) are not part of a corporate chain, so they have their own individual cards.
