There is a tentative settlement in the class action lawsuit involving tainted pet food.A lot of dogs and cats got sick from the food beginning in 2006, which led to a massive recall last year. As many as 1,500 pets may have died from the food.Pet owners are starting to receive notification of a $24 million settlement.The settlement is a result of a class action suit against the makers and sellers of the food.Many animals suffered kidney failure after eating the food that was contaminated with a chemical used in plastics and fertilizers.
