EUCLID, Ohio -- A popular Euclid sports bar and grill has received 14 health violations from the Cuyahoga County Health Department, reported NewsChannel5's Joe Pagonakis. Junior's Bar and Grill on East 185th Street appears to be immaculate, but it is what is in the kitchen that has the health department concerned, Pagonakis reported. The health inspection that took place on July 6 ordered the removal of fly pest strips in the kitchen to avoid contamination. It also told the restaurant to wash, rinse and sanitize all the dishes and utensils. The inspection found grease buildup on the stove hood, filters and cook line. The restaurant was also ordered to make repairs to both the men's and women's bathrooms. Junior's was also ordered to provide soap and hand towels at all sinks to ensure proper hand washing. The co-owner apparently wasn't aware of this series of violations, Pagonakis reported, and refused to give NewsChannel5 a tour of the facilities. The co-owner said he had not seen the inspection report. The health department is conducting a follow-up inspection next week.
