2 'Chickens' Arrested Outside WEWS Station

CLEVELAND -- Two "chickens" were arrested outside the NewsChannel5 studios Wednesday. The men, dressed in chicken suits, were protesting the gubernatorial debate between Republican Kenneth Blackwell and Democrat Ted Strickland. One was wearing "TED" on his chest, the other was wearing "KEN." More than 100 supporters and protesters were outside the TV station before noon. Images: 'Chicken' Protesters Arrested Cleveland police were trying to clear the streets for traffic. The men were allegedly blocking East 30th Street. Officers removed the chicken's heads before putting them in the police cruiser. Police said Howard Kornhauser, 38, of South Euclid, and the Libertarian candidate's son, Arjen Peirce, 38, of Petaluma, Calif., were issued misdemeanor citations of failure to comply with a lawful order and using ordinary care.
