MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio -- One of the men at the center of the Cuyahoga County public corruption probe spoke out Tuesday night. Cuyahoga County Auditor Frank Russo is breaking his silence about the raids carried out and the ongoing investigation. With his family at his side, Russo issued a brief statement from his Mayfield Village home. On Monday, FBI and IRS agents swarmed county offices, raiding Russo's and Commissioner Jimmy Dimora's homes and businesses -- hauling away boxes of documents and other items.Russo said the searches at his office and home were a complete surprise to him. NewsChannel5 Chief Investigator Duane Pohlman asked Russo how much he knew about the investigation. Pohlman: "Have they told you what they're looking for, Mr. Russo?"Russo: "No they haven't."Pohlman: "Have they told you why they're having any interest at all?"Russo: "No. They haven't." He said he's done nothing to warrant any investigation and will stay in office. Now that the auditor has spoken, many people wonder what Dimora has to say. He's kept a low profile since Monday's raids.Later today, the NewsChannel5 investigators expect to get more documents that'll shed more light on the investigation.
