Jackson, Tubbs Jones Likely To Endorse Issue 3

CLEVELAND -- Mayor Frank Jackson and U.S. Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones are expected to endorse Issue 3.

The Ohio AFL-CIO said Tuesday it is behind the initiative that would legalize slot machines in the state.

Some of the profits would go toward college scholarships and economic development.

The labor union said it will create thousands of good-paying jobs and boost the state’s economy.

Opponents, including the Cleveland NAACP, said it would hurt the economy.
