Absentee Ballots Contain Error

POSTED: 7:07 am EDT October 6, 2006
UPDATED: 7:39 am EDT October 6, 2006

More than 1,500 absentee ballots for the November election are not correct.

The ballots incorrectly list the party affiliation for candidates running for Ohio's 7th House District.

Elections Director Michael Vu said the board is already fixing the mistake.

"What we will do is send them another one," Vu said. "We will issue them another ballot and cancel the one we originally sent them. Those people will be notified."

The 7th District includes Euclid, Richmond Heights, South Euclid, and parts of Cleveland.

The notification about the error will be sent along with the second ballot.
