New York, NY (Sports Network) - Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme and a pair of Tampa bay Buccaneers, linebacker Derrick Brooks and kicker Matt Bryant, were named the NFC's top players for Week 4 of the NFL season.

Delhomme was named Offensive Player of the Week after completing 20-of-29 passes for 294 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers' 24-9 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Delhomme tossed touchdown passes of 56 yards to Steve Smith and 36 yards to Muhsin Muhammad and his 124.8 passer rating was the highest among NFL quarterbacks for the week.

It was the first weekly award for Delhomme, who became the first Panthers quarterback to win the award since Steve Beuerlein in 1999.

Brooks earned defensive honors after accumulating five tackles, three passes defensed, an interception and a forced fumble that resulted in a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 30-21 win over the Green Bay Packers.

In his 14th year from Florida State, Brooks' earned his sixth career Player of the Week Award and first since 2004. He is now tied with cornerback Ronde Barber for the most total awards in franchise history.

Meanwhile, Bryant earned the special teams award after competing with a heavy heart. Bryant lost his youngest son Tryson earlier in the week but still managed to convert all three of his field-goal attempts, including the game- winner in the fourth quarter as the Buccaneers defeated the Packers. It was the fourth career Player of the Week Award for Bryant.
