'Skins Sign QB Brennan

POSTED: 1:10 pm EDT July 14, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Washington Redskins agreed to terms with quarterback Colt Brennan on Monday.

Brennan was a sixth round pick and the 186th overall selection in the 2008 NFL Draft.

The signal caller set 31 NCAA passing records during his three seasons at the University of Hawaii, including 131 touchdowns passes.

Brennan completed 1,115-of-1,584 passes for 14,193 yards in 38 games with 35 starts for the Warriors. He finished second all-time in NCAA history in total offense (14,740) and passing efficiency (167.6) and third in career passing yards (14,193).

Brennan figures to compete with Derek Devine for the Redskins third-string QB job behind presumptive starter Jason Campbell and Todd Collins.
