East Rutherford, NJ -- (Sports Network) - New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs did not practice Wednesday because of a knee injury suffered in Sunday's 30-10 win over Baltimore.Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said Jacobs' condition is day-to-day, but he expected the running back would return to practice on Thursday. Jacobs said it is not as serious an injury as the knee sprain that kept him out of three contests last season. Jacobs also added that he will know more about his condition after Thursday's practice, should he participate. Jacobs has rushed for 879 yards and 11 touchdowns this season for the Giants, who hold the NFC's best record at 9-1. Additionally for New York, cornerback Aaron Ross -- who was selected as the NFC's top defensive player for Week 11 -- missed Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury, as did linebacker Chase Blackburn, who has a neck ailment.
