Giants K Carney Inactive Vs. Ravens

POSTED: 12:37 pm EST November 16, 2008

(Sports Network) - Giants kicker John Carney was inactive for New York's game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Carney, the league's oldest player at 44, joined the defending Super Bowl champions prior to the start of this season to fill in for Lawrence Tynes, who suffered a knee injury. Carney has connected on all 27 of his extra points and made 21-of-22 field goals this season.

Tynes returned to action for the Giants last week, but just handled kickoffs. Carney still handled placekicking duties, and connected on 3-of-3 field goals in New York's 36-31 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
