Raiders QB Russell Leaves With Ankle Injury

(Sports Network) - Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell was taken to the locker room late in the second quarter of Thursday's game against the Chargers after suffering a right ankle injury.

Russell, the first overall pick in the 2007 draft, was 9-of-13 for 68 yards and a pair of interceptions before leaving. He was replaced behind center by Andrew Walter and is not expected to return.
