Chiefs Sign DE Babin

(Sports Network) - The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with defensive end Jason Babin, a former first-round draft pick.

Babin played in two games this season for Seattle before being cut September 17. He saw action in only two contests last season for the Seahawks as well.

Babin was selected with the 27th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft by Houston. The Western Michigan product played in all 16 games in his rookie season in 2004, and had 63 tackles and four sacks.

In 47 career games, Babin has registered 147 tackles, 13 sacks and two forced fumbles.
