NFL Game Summary - Oakland At Tennessee

POSTED: 11:57 pm EDT August 15, 2008

(Sports Network) - John Vaughn kicked a 33-yard field goal as time expired, giving the Tennessee Titans a 17-16 victory over the Oakland Raiders in preseason action.

Vince Young struggled to get the Titans (2-0) down the field, completing only four of 13 passes for 37 yards. Kerry Collins went 4-for-15 passing for 109 yards and a touchdown.

Lavelle Hawkins caught a long touchdown pass from Collins, finishing the day with 70 yards on two catches. Rookie Chris Johnson rushed for 46 yards on eight attempts.

JaMarcus Russell had a solid outing, throwing 10-for-17 for 75 yards and a touchdown for Oakland (1-1). Andrew Walter finished the game going 7-of-11 for 85 yards passing.

Adimchinobe Echemandu led the Raiders with 77 yards rushing on three attempts, and Zach Miller led the team in receiving with 48 yards and a touchdown on four receptions.

Ingle Martin led the Titans down the field to the game-winning score as time expired. Starting the drive from his own 15 with two minutes to go, Martin completed passes on third-and-15 and third-and-17, both for first downs, to keep the drive alive. A 26-yard completion to Chris Davis brought the ball to the Oakland 15-yard-line with three seconds left, and Martin spiked the ball. That set up the game-winning field goal from 33 yards out, which Vaughn hit to seal the game.

Oakland got the scoring started in the second quarter. Russell completed a six-play, 61-yard drive by finding Miller in the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown, giving the team an early 7-0 lead.

The Titans defense tied the score, as Ahmard Hall recovered a fumble in the end zone to knot things up at seven.

Aaron Elling added a 56-yard field goal as the first half expired to put the Raiders up 10-7 at halftime.

Tennessee took its first lead in the game to start off the second half. Hawkins caught a 51-yard strike from Collins to cap off a five-play, 72-yard drive, making the score 14-10 in favor of the home team.

Two Elling field goals in the fourth -- 27- and 45-yarders -- put Oakland up 16-14.
