Packers QB Rodgers Game-Time Decision

POSTED: 4:42 pm EDT October 3, 2008

(Sports Network) - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against Atlanta, coach Mike McCarthy said on Friday.

Rodgers took part in the jog-through and had a rehab testing period, which included some light throwing, but did not take part in any other aspect of practice on Friday.

Rodgers is suffering from a sprained shoulder he suffered during last Sunday's 30-21 loss to Tampa Bay.

He will be tested further on Saturday and before the game on Sunday before McCarthy decides whether to start Rodgers.

"I think how he feels tomorrow and see how he does Sunday before the game will be strong indicators," said McCarthy. "I'm preparing to go either way. Frankly, you hand in the inactives at 10:30, and I'm sure we'll make our decision close to then."

Should Rodgers not be able to go, rookie Matt Flynn, who finished last week's loss under center and went 2-for-5 for six yards, will get the nod.

In four games this season, Rodgers has connected on 61.9 percent of his throws for 961 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions.
