YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A 16-year-old boy has been sentenced to 20 years in adult prison after he pleaded guilty to an October slaying in northeast Ohio.
The (Youngstown) Vindicator (http://bit.ly/1w2nyDz ) reports that Dammarrea Harris pleaded guilty Thursday to involuntary manslaughter and aggravated robbery with a firearm specification.
The teen was charged in the fatal shooting of 23-year-old David Perkins, who was found in the driveway of his home on Oct. 29. Police say he'd been shot in the back.
Judge Maureen Sweeney in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court sentenced Harris to 11 years for involuntary manslaughter and another nine years for aggravated robbery with a firearm.
Harris was initially charged in juvenile court but his case was bound over to adult court.
