JACKSON, Ohio - A southern Ohio man has been indicted on five charges including kidnapping and rape in the disappearance of a 6-year-old girl in July.
Attorney General Mike DeWine on Thursday announced the nine-count indictment against 30-year-old Zachary Dunn. He also faces abduction, gross sexual imposition and felonious assault charges.
Court records don't show an attorney for Dunn.
DeWine in a statement said Dunn grabbed the girl from her home and "terrorized" her until she escaped.
The girl was found July 26 hours after she disappeared in Jackson. At the time, the city's mayor said a woman located the girl about six miles away from her home.
Police had searched for the girl by land and air and issued a statewide alert.
