WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WCPO) - Rescue teams responded to a house fire outside Cincinnati on Tuesday that led to the arrest of a 14-year-old boy.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office responded to the 5100 block of Waynes Trace Rd around 7 p.m. on Wednesday to find six occupants inside the home at the time of the fire.
Butler Co. Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that the 14-year-old foster boy had attempted to kill everyone inside the house by starting the fire.
The boy has initially been charged with delinquency by reason of aggravated arson, domestic violence and five counts of attempted murder.
Sheriff Jones says that he is "quite concerned" with the recent violent actions of juveniles in the area.
"It's sad that again we are dealing with the youth of our community not placing any value on life and attempting to commit murder," Sheriff Jones said.
