COLUMBUS, Ohio - The committee searching for Ohio State University's next president is ready to meet again as the initial work creating a candidate profile winds down.
The committee expects to conclude its search for a successor to former president Gordon Gee early next year.
The committee led by trustee Jeffrey Wadsworth is scheduled to meet Tuesday on campus to hear updates on the creation of a profile of the university's next leader. Wadsworth has said the committee wants that profile in place this month in order to start gathering actual names.
Wadsworth has said repeatedly the search is open and there are no pre-existing candidates.
Gee retired in July, a few weeks after remarks he made jabbing Roman Catholics and Southeastern Conference schools were made public.
