After making a traffic stop on Interstate 70, Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized 70 lbs. of marijuana and 1,000 hash oil jars from a car, according to officials.

OSHP said on March 18 at 10:46 a.m., troopers stopped a 2015 Ford Econoline van, with registration out of California, for a following too closely violation on I-70 eastbound.

Officers said a patrol drug-sniffing dog alerted to the car, resulting in a probable cause search revealing 70 lbs. of marijuana and 1,000 hash oil jars inside.

The drugs had a street value of $350,000, officers said, and $7,569 was also recovered.

The driver, identified as 29-year-old Walter Delgado of Harbor City, Calif., and his passenger, identified as 26-year-old Anthony Jochum of Cleveland, were arrested and placed in the Multi-County Jail, police said. They were both charged with possession and trafficking in marijuana, as well as possession of criminal tools.
