Ohio education board to talk social media after criticism over president's anti-gun Facebook post

TOLEDO, Ohio - Ohio's education board will meet Monday for the first time since its president was criticized for making an anti-gun-control Facebook post that included a photo of Adolf Hitler.

The first topic on the state Board of Education's agenda is a discussion about social media.

Last month, board president Debe Terhar said she made a mistake after sharing a photo of Hitler on a Facebook page while criticizing President Barack Obama's new gun-control efforts.

She maintains that she was not trying to compare Obama to the Nazi leader.

Some Democrats have called on Terhar, who is a Republican, to apologize while others have said she should resign.

Gov. John Kasich has said she should not lose her job.
