YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Jim Tressel has made the short list of applicants for the president position at Youngstown State University.
Last week we reported that he had been named one of three finalists for the presidency position at the University of Akron.

Tressel resigned amid NCAA violations from a tattoo-parlor scandal that sullied the image of one of the country's top football programs at Ohio State University in 2011. Tressel was head coach for ten years, and worked as coach at Youngstown State before that.
The Vindicator reports Youngstown State trustees plan to interview Tressel and five more candidates this weekend via Skype before picking three finalists to visit the school. The other candidates include administrators from several other universities and an official from NASA headquarters.
Tressel's interview for the Akron presidency is scheduled next week.
