Jim Tressel applies for Youngstown State University President

YOUNSTOWN, Ohio - Former Ohio State Univesity football coach Jim Tressel has applied for the president position at Youngstown State University, the school confirmed today.

The deadline to apply for the job is Monday. YSU said Tressel's application came in within the last two days.

Tressel resigned amid NCAA violations from a tattoo-parlor scandal that sullied the image of one of the country's top football programs at Ohio State University in 2011. Tressel was head coach for ten years, and worked as coach at Youngstown State before that.

Tressel also applied for the presidency at the University of Akron last month.
