Indiana breeder caught in Ohio with 62 dogs crammed in minivan on cross-country trip

LICKING CO., Ohio - Dozens of dogs were crammed inside a minivan by an Indiana dog breeder and discovered by animal protection agents when the vehicle broke down outside of Columbus.

Officials found 50 dogs and 12 puppies being kept in cramped, filthy conditions on a cross-country trip, traveling for hours at a time with four and five dogs per crate.

Prosecutors are considering charges against the breeder.
