Flames damage hearing aid center in Mentor

MENTOR, Ohio - Crews are investigating the cause of a Friday night fire that partially destroyed a Mentor hearing aid center.

Just before 10 p.m. Friday, a passerby called 911 reporting a fire at MaryAnn's Family Hearing, located at 5834 Heisley Road.

When firefighters arrived, a “large fire” was spotted in the middle unit of the building.

Firefighters said the flames had already burned through the roof and were shooting 30-feet into the air.

The middle unit in the building is a total loss, according to Mentor fire officials, and no one was hurt.

MaryAnn's Family Hearing later posted a message to clients on their website regarding previous hearing aid orders.

On Friday August 29th, we had a fire at our office. We want to let all of our clients know that everyone will receive any hearing aids that have been ordered.  Check back on our website and on Facebook for updates.  You may contact us with any questions at maryann@maryannsfamilyhearing.com.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
