Christian Kibler, 22, of Coshocton, pleaded guilty to charges connected with the assault of an infant in 2015, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced Monday.

Kibler pleaded guilty to one felony count of endangering children and one felony count of felonious assault in Coshocton County Common Pleas Court Monday morning.

Kibler was indicted in May 2015 after traumatically injuring his infant child. Evidence collected by investigators showed the defendant was alone with the victim when the injuries were inflicted.

The case is being prosecuted by prosecutors with DeWine's special prosecutions section working as part of the Attorney General's Crimes Against Children Initiative.

Kibler is expected to be sentenced within the next month.

The child is now in his mother's custody.
