The Best Hospital rankings by U.S. News and World Report were released overnight Tuesday. Two Cleveland hospitals made the honor roll. The honor roll is the best 18 hospitals of the nearly 5,000 hospitals around the country.
CLEVELAND - Despite Cleveland being ranked most miserable city in 2009, and 10th most anguished in 2010, Cleveland came in at No. 12 in 2011. Forbes.com said poor weather and sports teams, along with high income and property taxes put us on the radar.
Forbes.com's method of ranking "miserable" cities included 10 factors: violent crime rate, property tax rates, commute, political corruption and how area pro sports teams performed, among others.
With that list of criteria, you may be wondering how did Cleveland ever escape the top spot? Could it be that misery is following LeBron James?
Typically thought of as a hot spot for the rich and famous, Miami, Florida takes the title of "Most Miserable City" in 2011. Forbes.com said aside from the glitz and glamour, most Miami residents are struggling to make ends meet.
Michigan's troubled cities Detroit and Flint take the No. 2 and No. 3 spots respectively -- the auto industry decline to blame. Toledo comes in at No. 8. Akron takes the No. 14 slot.
