Angry customer who fired shots at Sprint store turns himself in

SYCAMORE TWP, Ohio - A man accused of firing shots near the Sprint store in Sycamore Township after arguing with employees turned himself in.

Police said Jeremy South, 25, walked into the Hamilton County Sheriff's office just after 1 a.m. Saturday and surrendered.

South is charged with inducing panic and assault after police said he fired his gun outside a Sprint cellphone store in Sycamore Township Friday afternoon.

Police said South became angry after he tried to return a phone to the store on Montgomery Road.

After he was told the phone couldn't be returned, police said South threw a phone at a store employee, knocked items off a register counter and threatened to fight other store employees.

He allegedly left the store, got into a car, pointed a gun out of the window and fired four shots before driving away.

Aside from a minor injury to an employee's hand, nobody else was injured in the incident.

Jeremy South is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
