Police find missing Clark County teenager after issuing Amber Alert

Police say they have found a missing 14-year-old Clark County girl.

The Ohio Attorney General's Office issued an Amber Alert for Michaela Marie Bruce on Thursday morning after she was taken from a resident on Faux Satin Drive in Springfield.

Earlier, authorities said they believed 43-year-old Mark Edwards was holding Bruce.

The Hamilton JournalNews reported that Edwards abducted Bruce from her bus stop. The paper reported Clark County Sheriff Gene Kelly as saying Edwards had been taken into custody.

The Attorney General's Office said unlawful sexual conduct charges have been filed against Edwards.

No other details about Bruce's recovery have been released.

Michaela Marie Bruce was last seen at about 8:24 a.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of Faux Satin Drive in Springfield, according to the Ohio Attorney General's Office.

Authorities said they believe 43-year-old Mark Edwards is holding Bruce.

Edwards has a concealed weapon permit through Clark County and people are asked to use extreme caution if they encounter him, according to a release.

The Attorney General's Office said unlawful sexual conduct charges have been filed against Edwards.

Officials said they believe Edwards is driving a green 1998 Ford Expedition with Ohio license plate ESV 6436.

Bruce is described as white, 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds with blonde or strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Officials said Edwards is described as white, about 5 feet tall and weighs 130 pounds with blonde or strawberry blonde hair with brown eyes.
