COLUMBUS, Ohio - There have been 44 confirmed cases of measles in Ohio since March 22, the Ohio Board of Health reports.

The cases are spread across six counties, with 29 in Knox County, six in Ashland, four in Coshocton, three in Holmes and one each in Richland and Wayne counties.

The AP reported in April that the cases stemmed from an overseas trip taken by unvaccinated Ohio residents.
