Run On Gas, Food Creates Mess In Painesville

Area Gets Electricity From Power Plant

PAINESVILLE, Ohio - There was a lot of action being reported Thursday night at the only open gas station for miles in Lake County.

NewsChannel5 reported that cars were lined up for almost a mile on Richmond Road in Painesville as people try to fill up on gas and stock up on food and supplies.

The reason people flocked to this location is that it was the only area that has power. The five blocks were getting power from the Painesville Municipal Power Plant.

Police were on the scene to prevent fights and accidents. Officers even helped push a car that had run out of gas.

The Mr. Hero in the same location was also packed with hungry families.
