According to an article written by the Wall Street Journal, the White House is considering a Cleveland CEO as the nation's next Veterans Affairs secretary.
Three sources have reported that the White House has been in talks with Toby Cosgrove, CEO of the Cleveland Clinic, about the position.
The article says, Dr. Cosgrove is believed to be the main person being considered for the job.
The Cleveland Clinic told NewsChannel5 Tuesday, the company does not have a comment about the consideration at this time.
If Dr. Cosgrove were become the next VA secretary, he would replace Eric Shinseki, who resigned from the position last week.
Dr. Cosgrove joined the Cleveland Clinic in 1975.
