CLEVELAND - Early voting is over in Cuyahoga County.
A line of voters stretched around the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections building most of the day as they waited to cast an early vote before the 2 p.m. deadline on Monday.
People wrapped around the building on E. 30th Street and Euclid Avenue most of the morning and early afternoon.
Early voting started on Oct. 2 in Ohio.
"We've had a good amount of folks coming down for early voting. So far, 43,000 people have cast their ballot at the Board of Elections," said Jane Platten, Cuyahoga County Board of Elections director.
Melissa Trask waited about 20 minutes to cast her early ballot. "I have a super busy day tomorrow and I thought the lines would be a little faster today."
The polls open statewide at 6:30 Tuesday morning and close at 7:30 p.m.
If you requested an absentee ballot, Nov. 5 is the last day to mail them. You can also drop them off at your board of elections office before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6.
