UPDATE 10:30 a.m.

Erie County Health Commissioner Peter Schade said there are 13 confirmed cases of the norovirus among the California RNC Logistical Support Team.

Schade said there have been no new cases in the last 36 hours. The California RNC Logistical Support Team has been very good with hygiene, he said, and the Kalahari Resort has been great with being trained and prepared for such an event.

According to Schade, three fecal samples sent out to Columbus to be tested were confirmed to have the norovirus.

Officials are now working to figure out where the virus came from and how it spread.

UPDATE 9:15 a.m.

--

While California delegates have not reported any symptoms, 11 of their staffers are confined to their rooms at Kalahari resort after becoming sick with the norovirus.

Right now officials believe one or more people brought the virus with them after the staffers got sick shortly after landing in Northeast Ohio.

The Erie County Health department is expected to give an update at 10 a.m. this morning.
