Ohio lawmakers consider family planning funds bill

COLUMBUS, Ohio - An Ohio House committee is considering a measure that could send Planned Parenthood centers to the back of the line to receive public funds used for family planning services.

The Health and Aging Committee scheduled a possible vote Wednesday on the measure.

Opponents have said it would largely cut funding for Planned Parenthood. Anti-abortion groups have praised the idea.

A House finance committee stripped a similar plan from a budget bill earlier this year.
