Ohio Governor John Kasich had an extra bounce in his step Sunday campaigning in Nashua still riding the high of his debate performance Saturday night.

"I always thought that we overestimated the impact of the debates," Kasich said. "But since I had a good debate I hope this will be one where we'll overestimate it."

"The debates are just not the greatest thing for me. I would so much like us to change the format to go to a town hall format you know where we can really have an in depth conversation.

"Last night I felt really good because what I sensed there was the debate was controlled, I got more time. You know it's always a struggle with the time issue like 'how does the world work? You've got 30 seconds.' It's just hard to do."

Kasich held two town halls Sunday to add to his previous 100 in New Hampshire. He has four more slated for Monday. The final day of campaigning expected to play to a Kasich strength, his organization in New Hampshire.

"I think what will make the difference for us here really is the ground game, I mean we have hundreds of people out knocking on doors today, it's incredible."

"We're going to do really well and I understand this bus," he said pointing to his campaign bus, "is going to South Carolina."

South Carolina of course the next primary to come up on February 20. Kasich had said earlier in the week how he did in New Hampshire would impact the campaign's future. The comment an indication he plans on being in South Carolina on Wednesday.

Kasich making a point to make it clear that he's having fun being positive.

"A lady said to me yesterday 'no matter how it goes you can hold your head hung high, you've maintained your integrity and I've only got one day to screw that up and hopefully I won't," Kasich said laughing adding "that's a joke c'mon."

"I'm having a great, great time. This has been a wonderful experience and my wife's coming tonight."

Kasich has four more town halls on tap for Monday along with an election eve rally.
