“If I was sitting at home watching this back-and-forth, I’d be inclined to turn it off,” Kasich said.

The governor pointed out the first 10 minutes of the second GOP Debate was used to pit candidates against each other while ignoring major political issues.

“People at home and across this country want to know what we’re going to do to fix this place," Kasich said. "How are we going to balance a budget? How are we going to create more economic growth? How are we going to pay down the debt? What are we going to do to strengthen the military? I think it’s important that we get to the issues. We don’t want all this fighting.”

Another point of discussion for Kasich during the debate was the Iran nuclear deal.

Kasich said the U.S. shouldn't try to "go it alone," and that the country to should work with our European allies to monitor Iran following the agreement.
