SHARON, Pa. - A western Pennsylvania football team is preparing for its playoff game, three days after two of its players were killed in a car crash.
Sharon High School player Corey Swartz was driving with three teammates Friday night when he crossed the median on a highway in Sharon and hit a truck head-on. Swartz, 17-year-old passenger Evan Gill and the driver of the pickup were killed.
The teens played on Sharon High School's football team.
WTAE-TV reports that hundreds of people attended a vigil at Sharon's stadium Sunday night. Fans are planning a "whiteout" in the stands of Monday night's playoff game in Erie against Girard High School.
That game had been scheduled for Saturday but was postponed.
