Finding burial plot for Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev a struggle

WORCESTER, Mass. - A funeral director trying to find a cemetery to take the body of Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev Tsarnaev says he will go to the city where Tsarnaev lived. But the city of Cambridge has already said it doesn't want Tsarnaev.

Worcester funeral director Peter Stefan says he hasn't been able to find a cemetery in Massachusetts willing to accept Tsarnaev's remains and that he plans on asking Cambridge to provide a plot.

Cambridge City Manager Robert Healy has urged Stefan and Tsarnaev's family not to request a burial permit for the city-owned Cambridge Cemetery because the city would be "adversely impacted" by the resulting protests and media coverage. He said Sunday federal agencies should take the lead in the burial.

The 26-year-old Tsarnaev was killed in a gunfight with police on April 19.
