Delta plane skids off runway after landing in Detroit

DETROIT - Airplane passengers enjoyed a clear flight and a clean landing, and that's when the problem started.

The Delta airplane from Las Vegas landed safely on the Detroit runway Sunday, when it suddenly turned and skidded off the pavement.

The vessel's nose wheel got stuck in the mud, and the pilot had to call for tow trucks to tug the plane back to the passenger terminal.

None of the passengers was hurt, and no damages were reported.

Earlier this month, a similar accident happened at a Youngstown airport. No one was injured there.
