Officials in Willougby are investigating after they say counterfeit $20 bills were passed at commercial businesses on several occasions over the last few months.

Two men, 27-year-old Angel Ortiz and 29-year-old Agustin Hernandez have been arrested in the case. They are both Cleveland residents.

The most recent counterfeit bills were passed at Freshly’s Restaurant on Euclid Avenue, and Circle K on Vine Street.

The two men seen passing the bills were also spotted in other Cleveland-area cities – including Eastlake -- doing the same thing. They reportedly also visited a Taco Bell, a Willo Food Mart and a True North Shell.

Ortiz and Hernandez will be indicted on three forgery charges, and faces preliminary hearing on March 29.
