Severe storms moved through Florida early Sunday morning, killing two people in Duette, knocking power out throughout Siesta Key and Sarasota and causing major property damage.

In Duette, three adults and four juveniles were inside of a home on Albritton Road around 4 a.m. during severe weather. Two of the three adults are reported dead and the four juveniles hospitalized, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The names of those killed are Stephen Wilson, 58, and Kelli Wilson, 51. Stephen M. Wilson and his four children, ages 6 to 10 years old, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two people were rescued from a home in Sarasota and suffered minor injuries after their home was wiped out by the early morning storms. Officials there reported minor flooding, downed power lines, trees and signs in the city.
